My mother calls that noise their 'I'm going to snap your neck' noise. my cat does it when she sees a bird, only she tries to meow at the same time.

spray an apple spray that you can get at petco, then spray it on everything! it will stop the biting.

I'll give you a tip about stopping sparta from biting you. you have to like sorta hit him on the side but pet him to show that you don't want to hurt him. and if you do that constantly he'll understand not to bite
